High School Students
Working at Dairy Queen is a fun and rewarding experience for students seeking their first job experience. Wages start at $11-14.25 per hour, including bonuses. Fill out an application and drop it off at Shawnee DQ to join our team!
We get a lot of questions about what ages we hire. We hire students who are at least 14 years old. We at Dairy Queen follow the Minor Labor laws, which limit younger students from working past certain hours when school is in session (students under age 16 can't work past 7 p.m. while school is in session, including weekends during the school year). We do hire 14 and 15 years olds to work after school shifts until 7pm and weekends during the day.
Sports and school activities: We do hire students that are in school sports, band, or other school activities and will work around practice schedules and games. The student must be willing to work some after practices and games during season.
Please do not call the store to inquire about your application. As openings occur we will call in applicants for interviews. We save qualifying applications for the calenderer year.
